Principal Engineering, Program Management

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer interface and communication strategy with Japanese OEMs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in Japan and other global locations.
• Oversee product execution to ensure projects are on-time, on-schedule, and meet all quality and performance criteria.
• Coordinate with global cross-functional teams in the US, Mexico, India, China, and Japan to manage product development.
• Manage program risks proactively and coordinate mitigation strategies with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor product costing, resource budgets, and engineering resource allocation.
• Support the sales team by developing technical concept presentations and business cases for new opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of related technical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in technical program management or customer resident engineering.
• Proficiency in the Japanese language.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
• Proven experience working with Japanese carmakers or as a supplier to them.
• Strong general knowledge of automotive engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
