Principal Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve technical direction across the app revamp workstream
• Provide leadership across multiple teams to resolve complex dependencies and technical trade-offs
• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering Leadership and Data to shape strategy
• Own and influence key architectural decisions across app, web and supporting services
• Champion an experimentation-first approach including A/B testing and measurement
• Raise engineering standards for performance, reliability, code quality, and observability
• Coach and develop Engineering Leads and senior engineers
• Represent engineering in senior and executive-level discussions

Requirements

• Proven experience at Principal, Staff, or equivalent leadership level
• Strong background in back-end engineering and software architecture
• Experience in high-scale consumer products
• Demonstrated ability to define architecture across a broad landscape
• Track record of leading complex initiatives spanning multiple teams
• Experience in product-led environments working with Design and Data
• Strong understanding of experimentation and A/B testing
• Experience mentoring technical leaders and growing organizational capability
• Strong communication skills for interacting with executive stakeholders
