Principal Engineer - Track & Alignment

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the planning, design, and delivery of railway track alignment solutions across metro, freight, high-speed, and conventional rail projects.
• Lead the development and review of horizontal and vertical alignments, track geometry, corridor optimization, and operational integration.
• Act as the technical authority for alignment design, managing complex engineering challenges and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Oversee alignment teams, establish design methodologies, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
• Support project management through technical risk management, stakeholder engagement, and bid preparation.
• Mentor and develop engineers while driving innovation and best practices throughout all project phases.
• Perform quality control reviews of design calculations, drawings, and technical specification sections.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of professional experience, including significant experience within the GCC region.
• Professional engineer registration (CEng, PE, or equivalent) is required for Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
