Principal Engineer, Test

Responsibilities

• Strategize, design, and develop test architectures and frameworks for new and legacy cloud-based medical IoT applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for functional, performance, security, and reliability testing across multiple platforms.
• Lead the development and documentation of product test strategies and architectures.
• Perform code reviews to optimize test code quality and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and verification engineers to drive improvements in test execution and delivery through seamless automation.
• Plan and execute system integration activities to minimize issues during systems validation.
• Communicate testing requirements and strategies to stakeholders and provide technical guidance to testers and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12-15 years of relevant industry experience in software verification.
• Proven experience building test architectures and frameworks from scratch for complex enterprise or embedded software.
• Hands-on experience in test script development for GUI, API, or embedded systems.
• Proficiency with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Squish, or Katalon Studio.
• Experience with API testing frameworks like RESTAssured.
• Hands-on experience configuring CI-CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, SVN, or Git.
• Demonstrated track record in regulated software development (medical devices or aviation software preferred).
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of medical device software standards, specifically IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
• Experience working with medium to large Verification and Validation (V&V) teams.
• Expertise in using system analysis and profiling tools for debugging and performance optimization.
