Principal Engineer Test Engineering

Responsibilities

• Validate firmware and storage subsystems through advanced test automation
• Perform validation for storage servers and arrays, including JBOD, JBOFs, NAS, and SAN
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of SAS, SCSI, and PCIe protocols for trace analysis
• Install and configure various hardware and software components within a lab environment
• Conduct failure analysis by correlating test failures with firmware and software logs
• Perform bug verification and drive technical issues to resolution

Requirements

• B.S. or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience in test automation and quality assurance
• Deep understanding of storage protocols including SAS, SCSI, NVMe, and NVMeOF
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of hardware and software interactions and the SDLC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing automated tests using the pytest framework
• Knowledge of networking paradigms such as TCP and RoCE
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Experience with Fabric Switches or working in a data-center environment
• Working knowledge of HDD and SSD debugging
