Principal Engineer (Test)

Responsibilities

• Formulate test analysis, test strategy, and automation frameworks for medical product portfolios.
• Drive test quality improvements across platforms, new product development, and sustaining engineering.
• Design automation scripts and make critical design choices for new product development and field issue resolution.
• Review and approve test deliverables for various projects and releases.
• Implement TDD and BDD methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Identify technical risks at the module and product levels and develop mitigation plans.
• Lead, coach, and mentor V&V team members and provide guidance to development teams.
• Drive the application of SDLC principles, including IEC62304, Lean/Agile, and CI/CD.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Test/V&V activities.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Test Lead specifically for medical products.
• Strong Object-Oriented development and design knowledge (Design Patterns, Architecture).
• Proficiency in Python and automation tools such as Selenium.
• Experience with development and CI tools including Azure DevOps and BitBucket.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Express, Java Spring Boot, or Django.
• Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and medical software development processes (IEC62304).
