Principal Engineer, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and conduct complex tests and debug control and diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with project teams to plan, design, and develop electronic data processing systems
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development
• Recommend improvements to software production components to enhance engineering activities
• Analyze system capabilities to determine end-user needs and resolve problems regarding program intent and data acquisition

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree with 5 years of experience is also acceptable)
• 8 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role
• 5 years of experience with Avionics Navigation Systems
• 5 years of experience with DO-178B on DAL-A products
• 5 years of experience in C/C++ development
• 5 years of experience with Realtime Embedded Systems development
