Principal Engineer - SCADA & Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide overall engineering solutions, analysis, specifications, and procurement support for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Define SCADA design principles, system topologies, and engineering guidelines during project kickoff.
• Lead the creation of SCADA design packages, including architecture diagrams, network design, control center layouts, and firewall segmentation.
• Manage the full design development cycle for Technology, Telecom, and SCADA systems, covering civil networks, IIOT gateways, and smart control hardware.
• Oversee the SCADA design for electrical networks, water treatment plants, pumping stations, and smart city control centers.
• Act as a specialist in Tunnel Management Systems (TMS) and smart energy/lighting technologies.
• Manage engineers and CAD teams, providing technical support and mentorship.
• Present technical design implementation strategies to client senior leadership and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs comply with local regulations in the UAE, KSA, and Qatar, as well as relevant international codes and standards.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc (Hon) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of post-graduate experience.
• Membership of, or working towards, an associated professional body.
• Extensive experience working on multiple technology systems for large-scale infrastructure projects within the Middle East.
• Deep knowledge of SCADA protocols and Tunnel Management Systems (TMS).
• Strong understanding of routing and switching, active components, and telecommunication transmission systems.
• Proficiency in Civil3D, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
