About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and integration of robotics control solutions (PLC, HMI, SCADA) for site and global capital projects.
- Define and promote standardized controls architectures to enable scalable robotics deployment across manufacturing networks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement robotics solutions that enhance efficiency, repeatability, and reliability.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with Digital teams to ensure an optimized and integrated data and system landscape, including IIoT and 3rd party software.
- Provide technical oversight to external design firms and system integrators.
- Mentor technical expertise within the robotics and automation community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics within a GMP environment.
- Strong experience in PLC programming (Rockwell/Siemens), HMI, SCADA, and motion control systems.
- Proven track record of delivering smart factory, automation, or robotics initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of GAMP, GxP, and data integrity requirements.
- Experience in fill and finish, packaging, or high-mix/personalized manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Norwood, MA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Project Management experience.
- Experience with process control systems, historians, and application servers.
- Experience evaluating and integrating digital systems and IIoT-enabled devices.
