Principal Engineer - Process (Thin Films/CMP)

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve Fab-4 Thin Films and Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) processes
• Perform tests to improve yield and reliability, qualify new processes/equipment, improve cycle time, and reduce cost
• Analyze, summarize, and communicate test results
• Support critical quality systems including PFMEA, SPC, MPSP, MSA, and Sustaining Change Control
• Troubleshoot equipment and process problems
• Rework and disposition non-conforming product lots
• Write process specifications and reports
• Support Production as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of semiconductor CVD/PVD/CMP process engineering experience
• Proficiency in written and oral communication
• Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
• Initiative to work independently and keep projects on schedule
• Proven reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in chemistry
• Semiconductor technology and/or manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of basic statistics
