Principal Engineer, PCIE ASIC Validation

Responsibilities

• Take overall ownership of PCIe/LPDDR validation across architecture, pre-silicon, board design, and post-silicon activities
• Interact with Architecture, Design, and Firmware teams to identify implementation details and plan validation accordingly
• Review SoC verification plans and create/update PCIe/LPDDR validation plans with SoC C, AE, and FW teams
• Perform processor-based SoC verification and emulation using C/FW/AE flows
• Run SoC C-based simulations for test case understanding and debug using VCS
• Lead silicon bring-up activities and support firmware bring-up
• Collaborate with overseas teams for PCIe/LPDDR bring-up and debugging

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 14+ years of experience in processor-based SoC and hands-on PCIe validation with C/FW tests
• Detailed knowledge of PCIe/LPDDR standards (PCIe G5/G6 or LPDDR5 preferred)
• Experience with high-speed serial protocols and SerDes PHY behavior
• Hands-on experience with Logic Analyzers, PCIe Switches, Protocol Analyzers, and Exercisers (e.g., Viavi, Lecroy)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces such as ONFI or AXI
• Experience with debug and bring-up involving SNPS PCIe Controller or PHY
