Principal Engineer, Memory Systems Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define NAND Flash device handling related systems algorithms for AI workloads
• Define and communicate NAND Flash requirements to various Memory teams to meet system specifications
• Define ASIC requirements for upcoming NAND Flash based chips and design systems algorithms
• Develop and maintain system modeling tools for power, performance, and cost
• Study and articulate trade-offs regarding power, performance, cost, and schedule to cross-functional forums and management
• Lead discussions on new modes and operation methods for next-generation NAND Flash
• Collaborate with Architecture and Firmware teams on detailed implementation and verification plans
• Monitor NAND readiness and work with product test teams on testing and screening methods
• Work with validation teams on drive-level testing, debugging, failure analysis, and qualification

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in EE, ECE, E&I, VLSI, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of experience with a Master's degree
• 5+ years of experience with a PhD
• Proven experience with NAND flash based systems or relevant systems design

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of programming in high-level languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Familiarity with PCIe and DDR interfaces
