About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5-10 Manufacturing Engineers to support various programs and projects.
- Manage the creation of detailed work instructions and engineering documentation for the fabrication, installation, and modification of electrical and avionics systems.
- Act as a manufacturing engineering liaison on the shop floor to troubleshoot documentation issues and provide real-time technical support.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and tooling drawings to support the build phase of production efforts.
- Evaluate technical data and interact with cross-functional disciplines to ensure engineering requirements are met regarding cost, schedule, and producibility.
- Support electrical/avionics ground testing and hypersonic vehicle integrated testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) and 20-25 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, avionics, or launch vehicle/aircraft integration.
- Expertise in creating detailed aerospace production documentation, including drawings and shop work instructions.
- Experience with PDM systems and engineering revision control processes.
- Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system and payload installation.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active security clearance.
- Experience with Siemens Capital or Mentor Graphics.
- Advanced 3D CAD modeling experience (NX, CATIA, or Solidworks).
- Proficiency with LabVIEW and configuration management systems like Jira.
