Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in developing advanced solutions to complex civil and structural issues
• Proactively identify design gaps and provide innovative technical solutions
• Develop major projects and proposals with minimal supervision
• Review and correct the work of engineers and designers to ensure document accuracy
• Resolve conflicting requirements across different discipline lines
• Lead quality checks of engineering and design for major projects
• Serve as a technical resource for projects and estimating teams
• Mentor less experienced engineers to foster professional growth and training

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 25+ years of relevant experience in the refining and petrochemical industry
• Proficiency in engineering software including Staad Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, spMats, and Mathcad
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• NCEES records
