Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate electrical design for large, complex construction projects
• Manage design teams and integrate different disciplines
• Lead the management of all works delivered through the Electrical team
• Work with the Major Projects Mechanical Lead to ensure coordinated solutions
• Manage team utilization levels and balance resource levels with workload
• Set, monitor, and maintain standards for quality of product delivery
• Prepare designs and advice including feasibility, stage, and condition reports
• Provide high-level technical advice in electrical building services engineering
• Participate in project design meetings and establish technical solutions

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET
• Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering
• Significant knowledge of the road tunnel industry
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
• Experience in quality procedures and document control in engineering design
• Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
