Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of all works delivered through the Mechanical team
• Oversee all aspects of building services engineering for major project new builds
• Manage team utilization levels and balance resource capabilities with workload
• Set and maintain standards for quality of product delivery and industry practice
• Provide high-level technical advice in mechanical building services engineering
• Coordinate with the Major Projects Electrical Lead to integrate solutions
• Participate in project design meetings and establish technical concepts
• Support business development through fee production and quality responses for bids
• Ensure delivery of coordinated design solutions, budget costs, and pre-tender estimates

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET
• Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering
• Significant knowledge of the Mechanical Electrical & Technology industry
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
• Experience in quality procedures and document control in engineering design
• Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
