Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design for large, complex construction projects
• Support the Head of Service in business management and coordinating solutions for new builds and refurbishments
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external clients
• Manage team utilization and achieve monthly/annual metrics
• Set and maintain standards for quality of product delivery
• Oversee feasibility studies, multi-stage designs, and condition reports
• Participate in business development, including bid submissions and client meetings

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET
• Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience in a leadership role within engineering design
• Proven track record of managing multi-discipline technical teams
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
• Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
