Principal Engineer - Integration Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise integration architecture using AWS-native services and event-driven design principles.
• Modernize traditional middleware integrations (e.g., MuleSoft, Tibco) into scalable AWS serverless architectures.
• Design and operate cloud-native services using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Drive CI/CD automation and deployment standards for Node.js, Java, and Python-based services.
• Establish observability standards using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray to improve monitoring and tracing.
• Apply AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and encryption to ensure secure data movement.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices and operational maturity across integration teams.

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in enterprise integration, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS/SNS, S3, Glue).
• Proven experience designing enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft, Tibco, or similar middleware.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, including API-led connectivity and event-driven architecture.
• Experience implementing CI/CD automation using Jenkins or similar DevOps tooling.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of Python and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with application containerization using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solution Architect certification.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GenAI, RAG, or MCP.
