Principal Engineer II - Piping

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate piping engineering for large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Petrochemical sectors
• Develop and implement engineering practices, workflows, and procedures to optimize discipline performance
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, discipline manuals, and safety standards during project execution
• Manage technical procurement activities, including the preparation of technical specifications and review of vendor documents
• Conduct 3D model reviews and perform MTO calculations to ensure design accuracy
• Perform inter-discipline QA/QC and engineering compliance checks on work performed by the team
• Coordinate with stress teams, sub-contractors, and construction teams to manage inter-discipline workflows
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and mitigate risks during the project lifecycle
• Mentor and train designers and junior engineers within the technical discipline

Requirements

• MTech/ME or BTech/BE in Mechanical Engineering
• 14-18 years of experience in EPC or detail design engineering
• Proven experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, or Petrochemical sectors
• Proficiency in Smartplant SP3D
• Strong knowledge of National and International piping codes
• Extensive experience in 3D model reviews and MTO calculations
• Fluent English communication skills
