Principal Engineer IAM

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and maintainable IAM software solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers to foster professional growth.
• Contribute to strategic planning by aligning technical decisions with business goals and anticipating technology trends.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive innovation by identifying and incorporating new technologies and industry practices into the engineering process.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with ForgeRock COTS based IAM solutions (Ping Gateway, Ping AM, Ping IDM, Ping DS).
• Proven expertise in IAM engineering including authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, and Python, with comfort in API and microservices development.
• Strong working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud computing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in DevSecOps and knowledge of the Product Operating Model.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) tooling, specifically Chef (Ansible is a plus).
• Experience with containerization and open-source technologies.
• Knowledge of authentication and biometric system design.
