Principal Engineer I - Instrumentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare design basis, specifications, data sheets, and sizing for instruments including control valves, PSVs, flowmeters, and analyzers
• Act as the discipline lead engineer for various proposals and projects to ensure delivery within contractual frameworks and schedules
• Perform interdisciplinary checks and review vendor offers to conduct Technical Bid Analysis
• Work on FEED projects, resolving technical queries and obtaining necessary approvals
• Manage vendor relationships through Kick Off Meetings, design reviews, and tracking progress
• Review vendor deliverables for technical compliance and provide necessary inputs to other disciplines
• Attend FAT and SAT to witness compliance with project requirements
• Support proposal efforts for various project bids and maintain project KPIs, change tracking, and dashboard reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 10 to 14 years of industry experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector
• Proficiency in SPI (Intools) is required
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, IS, and IEC codes and standards
• Experience with FEED and PMC standards
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D model review software such as SPR
• Experience with material requisition, technical bid evaluation, and vendor deliverable review for analyzers and control systems
• Previous experience in commissioning and field execution
