Principal Engineer, Grid Insights Lead

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support hardware platforms in the field to enable experimentation, data capture, and customer evaluations
• Configure, validate, and debug software and data pipelines used for insights generation and field trials
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot insight modules and algorithmic solutions in ADI labs and at customer sites
• Partner with machine learning, software, and systems engineering teams to diagnose issues and improve solution performance
• Translate customer requirements and field observations into actionable recommendations for product improvement
• Resolve complex cross-stack issues spanning hardware, software, data, and algorithms in customer-facing environments

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated experience spanning hardware, software, and algorithm development
• Strong hands-on experience with field deployment, experimentation, or applied engineering in real-world environments
• Solid foundation in signal processing, machine learning, and algorithms
• Experience building, deploying, and debugging data acquisition and processing pipelines
• Experience with embedded systems, sensing platforms, or small-scale hardware deployments
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages for prototyping and debugging
• Experience in an Applications Engineer or customer-facing technical role
• Ability to travel to customer sites or partner facilities (approximately 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical grids and power systems
