Principal Engineer – Geotechnical

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary geotechnical design reviews and integrate innovative solutions for major infrastructure projects.
• Manage technical delivery and oversee multiple high-profile geotechnical projects across the APAC region.
• Provide expert guidance on contract administration, project execution, and technical specifications.
• Deliver high-quality reports, documents, and proposals, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety factors.
• Guide, mentor, and coach junior team members to support their professional growth and technical development.
• Carry out complex geotechnical engineering designs for dredging and reclamation in Ports, Maritime, Road, and Rail sectors.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including Geology, Survey, Structures, and MEP.

Requirements

• Post Graduate Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics (PhD is welcome).
• Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification professional experience.
• Expertise in geotechnical design for soft soils, liquefaction, settlement, dredging, and reclamation.
• Advanced proficiency in software including GeoStudio, RocScience, SLIDE, Wallap, L Pile, Geo5, Plaxis, and Cliq.
• Strong technical expertise in preparing design reports, setting design criteria, and developing technical specifications.
• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with international clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered status or membership in relevant professional organizations.
• Knowledge or studies relating to the reduction of embodied carbon in design.
• Proficiency in MS Office suites and Power BI, with an understanding of statistical analysis.
