Principal Engineer

About the Company

Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. We are building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into Electronic Health Records to help health systems operate at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own system design at the platform level, architecting for 10-100x growth
• Establish engineering patterns and standards for the wider organization
• Oversee the architecture of AI-powered features including voice agents and clinical workflows
• Manage model selection, latency, cost tradeoffs, and evaluation methodologies
• Partner with product leadership to shape the roadmap and drive cross-team initiatives
• Mentor engineers and help build the next generation of technical leaders in the Orlando hub

Requirements

• Proven track record of building complex systems from scratch
• Ability to lead system design while remaining hands-on in the codebase
• Strong engineering judgment focused on business outcomes
• Genuine AI fluency with experience building AI-powered products
• High agency and ability to operate with minimal scoping
• Must be US-based or willing to relocate to Orlando, FL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and GCP
• Experience with OpenAI, Langfuse, or Vertex AI
