Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Infrastructure team to deliver global support and drive new project programs.
• Design, build, and implement scalable infrastructure, including network and virtual instances from OpenStack, VMware, and public/private clouds.
• Drive automation efforts for the configuration and maintainability of multi-cloud environments.
• Consult with stakeholders, testers, and application owners to design supportable network infrastructure.
• Manage the deployment and support of production and pre-production environments for core systems.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and vendor products to enhance service directions.
• Provide on-call rotational support to ensure global turnaround times are met.

Requirements

• 13+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Extensive expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private cloud (OpenStack).
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies including VMware, KVM, and Hyper-V.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Go for automation and tool development.
• Deep knowledge of storage technologies (Dell EMC, NetApp, etc.) and networking (Cisco, Arista).
• Solid experience with Linux and Windows administration in a data center operations environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) such as VMware NSX or Openvswitch.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Experience with Red Hat Ceph storage and SAN/NAS technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
