Principal Engineer, Equipment Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic equipment engineering initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and OEE performance
• Perform complex equipment troubleshooting and advanced root cause analysis
• Develop and standardize engineering practices and maintenance strategies
• Lead major equipment upgrades, system redesigns, and automation integration
• Provide technical leadership for new equipment development and factory expansion
• Drive predictive maintenance and reliability engineering using SPC and data analytics
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical specialists
• Lead supplier technical engagements and OEM partnerships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Materials Engineering
• 15–20 years of experience in equipment engineering (sputter media, semiconductor, or vacuum coating)
• Expertise in sputtering systems, vacuum technology, and plasma physics
• Proven experience leading large-scale engineering projects and strategic initiatives
• Strong knowledge of equipment reliability and predictive maintenance
• Proficiency in data analytics, SPC, and OEE improvement
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of high-vacuum technology and plasma physics
• Experience with PLC programming, robotics integration, SECS/GEM, and MES
