Principal Engineer – Electrical (Data Centres)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration, and delivery of electrical and MEP systems for mission-critical data centre projects.
• Provide technical governance by reviewing and approving engineering deliverables aligned with global standards.
• Drive development of modular, cloud, colocation, and hyperscale data centre solutions.
• Act as the primary client interface, building trusted advisory relationships across key accounts in the region.
• Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and senior stakeholder presentations.
• Drive business development including bid leadership, proposal strategy, and commercial positioning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, civil, and architecture disciplines.
• Ensure all solutions meet benchmarks for resilience, sustainability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in mission-critical or data centre design, delivery, or advisory.
• Strong understanding of Tier standards, NFPA, ASHRAE, and Uptime Institute guidelines.
• Proven experience working within GCC markets, specifically the UAE and/or KSA.
• Experience working with large consultancies or international engineering firms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing abilities.
