Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, and manage software programs aligned with strategic objectives
• Lead technical direction and execution of software projects throughout the full development lifecycle
• Transform Proof of Concepts (POCs) into scalable, production-ready products
• Contribute to the development of distributed, scalable systems and high-volume transactional applications
• Uphold code quality standards through unit testing and best practices
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers through the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to the product roadmap, including AI/ML initiatives
• Deploy solutions in production and track performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in software product development and design
• Hands-on coding expertise using Agile processes
• Proficiency in Python API development (FastAPI)
• Proficiency in UI technologies including React JS, Redux, HTML5/CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong experience with RDBMS like PostgreSQL and SQL
• Experience building enterprise-scale SaaS products using Microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PySpark and big data technologies
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their applications
• Strong understanding of distributed, scalable systems
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
