Principal Engineer Design

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable software tools and data structures to boost design productivity within the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) domain
• Create data structures to hold design data, utilizing formalized data such as XML and HDL-Models to generate code
• Write maintainable and scalable code using efficient data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in C#
• Partner with design engineers to develop automation methods that streamline their workflows
• Generalize implementations and structure them following state-of-the-art software concepts
• Define architecture, coding principles, QA strategies, and documentation plans for software implementations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the software industry
• Proven experience architecting and developing complex, scalable software tools from idea to production
• Hands-on experience in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) area or related technical software design
• Proficiency in Java, Eclipse, and Python within UNIX/Windows environments
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) and UML

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with agile software development techniques
• Understanding of the semiconductor development process from concept to hardware design
• Experience with Eclipse plugin development
