Principal Engineer - Design for Test

Responsibilities

• Implement Design-for-Test (DFT) methodologies for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) designs using industry-standard flows
• Generate and verify test patterns to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Contribute to the development and review of SoC test specifications
• Support test engineering teams in production test debugging and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to enhance and optimize design workflows
• Address design challenges proactively to support quality and reliability objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in DFT
• Deep understanding of Scan, ATPG, Memory BIST, and Boundary Scan
• Working experience with Tessent Siemens flow for SCAN, Memory BIST, and Boundary Scan
• Understanding of JTAG/IJTAG/1500/1687/1149.1 networks
• Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Perl or Python
• Experience with test pattern development, simulation, and debug

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Equivalence Checking tools (Cadence LEC), Synthesis, and Static Timing Analysis
• Experience with Synopsys tools (DC, TMAX) and simulation tools (QUESTA, Xcelium)
• Knowledge of Functional Safety / ISO26262 standards
• Experience with data management systems such as Subversion or DesignSync
