Principal Engineer, Data Analytics Engineering

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end data solutions and lead teams to productize solutions for cross-functional stakeholders
• Design, build, and support platforms for customer analytical needs using Java and/or Python
• Design and maintain batch processing and streaming data pipelines
• Develop AI-enabled assistants, chatbots, and automation solutions, including REST APIs and backend integrations
• Deploy and support applications on Kubernetes/Edge platforms using GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Guide team members through technical challenges and provide technical leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience
• Strong proficiency in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and/or Python
• Experience with Database Technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive)
• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts, including tool usage, multi-step orchestration, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in designing batch and streaming pipelines using Spark and Kafka
• Experience working within an agile software development framework using test-driven development (TDD)
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
