Principal Engineer, Containers

Responsibilities

• Lead product R&D and analytical activities (V&V) for global, cross-functional projects involving polymeric materials.
• Study structure-property relationships of polymers and composites using chemical analysis data.
• Perform mechanical testing of materials, including tensile testing.
• Execute mechanical design of industrial components or medical devices using polymeric materials.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product failures with minimal supervision.
• Manage projects and change controls using in-house quality systems.
• Develop and deliver materials and mechanical testing, including writing verification protocols, test cases, and reports.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to material aspects of products in manufacturing and field performance.

Requirements

• B.Tech with 10+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Educational background in Polymer Science, Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Deep understanding of polymer science, polymeric composites, and structure-property relationships.
• Proficiency with testing methodologies such as FTIR, NMR, ICP-OES, GC-MS, or HPLC.
• Experience with mechanical design involving polymeric materials.
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Proven project management skills and ability to manage deliverables within budget and timelines.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for global stakeholder management.
