Principal Engineer - Bridges

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to deliver bridge design, assessments, and inspection reports
• Undertake bridge design, assessment, and strengthening solutions, including feasibility studies for repair
• Supervise the preparation and checking of calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
• Manage project scope, deliverables, and financial constraints to ensure timely delivery within agreed fees
• Perform technical reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with design standards and health & safety procedures
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and international WSP offices to manage client requirements
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior engineers

Requirements

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Chartered Engineer (ICE / IStructE) or actively working towards chartership
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant international experience
• Deep expertise in bridge engineering, structural design, assessment, and rehabilitation
• Strong technical knowledge of steel and RCC/PSC bridge structures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Eurocodes and other international design standards
