Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple complex, non-routine projects involving the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of pharmaceutical systems and facilities.
• Establish and recommend modifications to company-wide engineering policies.
• Develop organizational or project budgets encompassing all disciplines for large-scale projects.
• Apply advanced technical principles to develop new concepts and conduct in-depth engineering research.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate the work of a staff of engineers and technicians.
• Lead cross-functional efforts with research, manufacturing, process development, utilities, and quality assurance departments.
• Design and direct engineering projects that contribute to high-priority corporate goals.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 2+ years of Engineering experience, OR
• Masters with 4+ years of Engineering experience, OR
• Bachelors in Engineering with 6+ years of Engineering experience.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
• Ability to interpret and apply GLPs and GMPs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotech processes.
• Familiarity with validation processes and protocol execution requirements.
• Experience with documentation in highly regulated environments.
• Ability to operate specialized laboratory equipment and computers.
• Strong problem-solving, technical report writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply engineering science to production environments.
