Principal Engineer-Applications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Ethernet PHY and switch product lines to drive customer success
• Answer technical questions from Field Sales engineers and customers during the development process
• Create technical enablement collateral including application notes, knowledgebase articles, user guides, and example code
• Identify gaps in current enablement materials and proactively develop solutions to address them
• Define high-level requirements for development teams to improve customer experience in new product development
• Develop and present technical training, such as webinars and hands-on workshops, to customers and sales teams

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and other embedded programming languages
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and the building process
• Extensive experience in customer support and customer enablement
• Knowledge of Ethernet communication protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP
• Experience with hardware/software debug tools and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Understanding of embedded processor development flows and networking management concepts
