Principal Engineer-Applications

Responsibilities

• Support, manage, and maintain hardware for processor-based storage integrated circuits and reference designs
• Work closely with Tier 1 OEMs and ODMs to define requirements, manage deliverables, and assist with new product design wins
• Support initial system bring-up and provide timely technical support for post-production products
• Root cause customer issues independently or by leading cross-functional teams
• Develop and review customer-level documentation, including user guides, release notes, and application notes
• Travel within China and internationally to customer sites to debug systems involving software and firmware

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering (CE)
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong design skills in High Speed Signal Integrity and Board Design
• Experience with board-level debug and bring-up
• Proficiency with bench top equipment, including protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and other storage or networking test equipment
• Strong technical leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in PCIe and SAS protocols
• Experience with mass storage firmware and software
• Strong system design and project management skills
• Experience with RISC-based embedded processors (MIPS preferred)
• Experience with Unix & Wintel drivers and firmware development with lightweight embedded kernels (ThreadX, VxWorks, eCos, etc.)
• Strong debugging skills using Windbg, JTAG, and serial ports
