Responsibilities

• Own the core data model and entity resolution for complex financial entities and relationships
• Drive foundational architectural decisions and write RFCs for cross-cutting technical problems
• Bring architectural coherence to decisions made within individual domains like AI, Analytics, and Platform
• Identify technical risks and compounding complexity before they become incidents
• Set engineering quality standards for system design, observability, reliability, and API design
• Mentor and stretch senior engineers across the organization

Requirements

• Experience at principal or staff level in a data-intensive engineering organization
• Deep experience with complex data modeling, entity resolution, and production data pipelines
• Proven experience designing and shipping AI/LLM systems (RAG, structured extraction, evaluation frameworks)
• Strong backend and distributed systems knowledge including APIs and service architecture
• Proficiency in Python
• Ability to write code for proofs of concept and high-standard PRs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial data, legal documents, or semi-structured datasets
• Background as a founding engineer, early-stage CTO, or technical lead building systems from scratch
