Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test software products for military aircraft platforms
• Apply technical principles and theories to develop mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities
• Work both independently and collaboratively within high-performing multi-site teams
• Support software integration and testing in lab and hardware environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience
• C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity)
• Embedded application development in Linux (Yocto/RHEL), Windows, and Bare Metal
• Flight Software Development experience
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to work onsite 100%
• Ability to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
• Experience with FPGA (Xilinx, Vivado, AMD, MicroSemi/Microchip)
• Python development for tooling, automation, and simulation
• Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo
• Digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed-loop testing
• Experience with DO-178C safety-critical standards
• Experience with Navigation, Guidance, Control, or Signal Processing implementation
