About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for complex multi-board electrical systems across the full development lifecycle
- Drive high-impact initiatives across multiple products to solve hard problems
- Lead technical discussions and design reviews to ensure architectural integrity
- Collaborate with Engineering leadership, Product, Design, production, and supply chain
- Work with manufacturers to quote, fabricate, and assemble PCB assemblies
- Mentor engineers and develop lightweight processes based on industry standards
- Support field deployments including product testing and live debugging
- Optimize electrical designs and identify system performance bottlenecks
Requirements
- Proficiency in Altium Designer (schematic drafting, PCB layout, manufacturing outputs)
- Expert knowledge of analog circuit design and power electronics
- Experience designing high-speed digital systems (I2C, SPI, RS232, MIPI-CSI, Gigabit)
- Extensive experience with PCB stack ups, signal integrity, EMI controls, and manufacturability
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, soldering, and debugging
- Experience designing for manufacturability, testability, and high-rate production
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 10+ years of professional electronics development experience
- 2+ years in technical leadership or architectural roles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with UAVs, aircraft, robotics, or hobby drones
- Experience with highly integrated high power PCBAs for demanding environments
- Demonstrated success with new product introduction (NPI) to high-rate production
- Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management standards
- Fluency in version control (Git)
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 12+ years of professional electronics development experience
