About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design high-speed digital Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) from requirements through schematic capture, PCB layout, and production
  • Mentor hardware engineers on high-speed digital design principles and PCB layout techniques
  • Optimize signal and power integrity (SI/PI) using advanced modeling, simulation, and hardware validation
  • Champion Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) principles
  • Perform hardware integration and Design Verification Testing (DVT) and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Mechanical Engineering teams to align on program objectives

Requirements

  • Expertise in high-speed digital design for complex multilayer PCBs (12+ layers)
  • Demonstrated end-to-end circuit card development experience from concept through production
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, or Altium Designer
  • Hands-on SI/PI analysis experience with tools like HyperLynx, ADS, or SPICE
  • STEM degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience)
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active SECRET Security Clearance or higher
  • Advanced knowledge of high-speed protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, and high-speed memory interfaces
  • Experience with Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles
  • Previous experience working within the defense or aerospace industry
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and JIRA for hardware development
