Principal Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, develop and test highly reliable electronics and compute systems
• Serve as the senior engineer driving technical direction, electrical architecture, and product requirements
• Drive component selection, schematic capture, prototyping, and debugging
• Perform hands-on debugging using laboratory test equipment and custom instrumentation
• Model and simulate circuit designs for analysis and performance
• Act as a technical lead to drive schedule and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar
• 15+ years of professional experience designing and delivering complex electrical hardware
• Broad electrical engineering background with first-principles problem-solving skills
• Experience operating as a technical lead and system owner across the full lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in electrical engineering
• Experience with heterogeneous compute environments (FPGA, GPU, mixed architecture)
• Experience with sensors, high-speed imaging, and physical telemetry systems
• Experience with embedded microcontroller design and firmware
• Experience with high-speed data acquisition, motion systems, or electromechanical systems
• Familiarity with industrial automation and robotics
