About the role

About the Company

The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of electrical engineers
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
  • Lead the full lifecycle of electrical design from feasibility to As-Built documentation
  • Oversee production of design markups, drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Undertake and approve detailed engineering calculations and electrical system design
  • Manage and review specialist supplier and subcontractor technical submissions
  • Lead design assurance activities and technical governance processes
  • Ensure effective integration of electrical systems within a BIM-driven environment

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional registration with the Engineering Council
  • Sufficient experience in the railway industry
  • Experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination
  • Knowledge of British Standards and rail standards (Network Rail, HS2, TfL)
  • Proficiency with Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux, or Relux
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience
  • Right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of design stages such as RIBA, BSRIA, or GRIP
  • Experience working with 3D models in a BIM environment
  • Understanding of CDM and CSM legislation
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and project communications
