Principal EICA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater treatment projects across the full design lifecycle
• Act as discipline technical lead owning design strategy, technical decisions, interfaces, and risks
• Review and approve discipline deliverables including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination between Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural, and construction teams
• Lead technical workshops, optioneering, value engineering, and design reviews
• Promote lean and digitally enabled delivery through simulation, automation, and data analysis
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers with technical risk and resourcing
• Mentor and manage engineers, supporting recruitment and chartership progression
• Contribute to business development, bids, and client engagement

Requirements

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure design
• Proven ability to act as a discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015
• Strong digital mindset with experience in modelling or automation
• Confident client-facing communication skills
• Experience mentoring or managing engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience in wastewater treatment, clean water, sludge/bioresources, or nutrient removal
• Experience delivering AMP8, WINEP, SRO, or D&B projects
• Experience developing design standards or reusable digital workflows
