Principal DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across bare-metal (kubeadm, Rancher) and Azure (AKS)
• Design scalable, resilient platform infrastructure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy) and GitHub Actions
• Own Jenkins lifecycle including upgrades, patching, and plugin management
• Manage GitHub/GitHub Cloud repositories and workflows
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for provisioning and configuration
• Define and implement disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies
• Troubleshoot complex distributed system and networking issues

Requirements

• 8+ years of core DevOps experience
• Strong experience with bare-metal Kubernetes (kubeadm, Rancher) and AKS
• Expert knowledge of Jenkins (pipelines, Groovy) and GitHub Actions
• Strong Azure and hybrid environment knowledge
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep)
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking (CNI, Ingress, Load balancing, DNS)
• Experience with TLS/SSL fundamentals and network policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Kubernetes or Azure certifications
• Experience modernizing CI/CD platforms
• Exposure to disaster recovery planning and execution
