About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive medium- and low-voltage electrical architecture, structural enclosure design, and thermal management for Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC/CDU)
  • Embed Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices to optimize for high-volume production
  • Ensure designs comply with safety standards including UL, CE, NEC, NFPA, and OSHA
  • Develop and improve Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) protocols for electrical and structural integrity
  • Manage external design firms and specialty consultants, owning scope and deliverables
  • Lead systems-level engineering for the transition from air-cooled to DLC/CDU architectures
  • Own complete engineering design packages including drawings, specifications, and BOMs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in data center design, modular infrastructure, or industrial power systems
  • 10+ years of experience managing external design engineering partners
  • Mastery of medium-voltage power distribution, structural analysis, heat transfer, and seismic/wind load calculations
  • Expert knowledge of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E) and UL/CE compliance
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM platforms, electrical single-line design tools, or thermal simulation software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) physical layer requirements
  • Experience with agency certification strategies for modular electrical equipment globally
  • Track record of scaling physical products from prototype to high-volume production
