Principal Debug Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and debug silicon validation tests in bare metal C/C++ on FPGA/Emulator
• Deploy and debug silicon validation tests on first silicon
• Develop automated test frameworks and regression test suites in Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement best practices
• Analyze test results to identify and debug failures and defects
• Contribute to shared test and validation infrastructure and provide feedback to architects

Requirements

• Strong experience in Bare metal and embedded C/C++
• Experience with post-silicon validation in digital ASIC environments
• Proficiency in Python and Linux
• Understanding of ML applications and workloads
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work across teams to find root causes of complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience
• Experience building and leading multi-site teams
• Driver level experience with PCIe, Ethernet, or memory technologies (LPDDR, DDR, HBM)
• Experience with peripherals such as I2C, I3C, or SPI
• Knowledge of mixed-signal building blocks (PLLs, high speed PHYs) and IC protocols
• Experience with Arm CPUs, System IP, debug tools, and AMBA protocols
• Experience in Characterization, Failure Analysis, and Statistical analysis
