Principal, Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, processes, and operating models to protect client infrastructure and customers
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, presenting strategic recommendations and reporting to executive audiences
• Lead multiple concurrent, high-impact cybersecurity engagements from scoping to end-to-end delivery
• Drive business development by leading client proposals and contributing original thought leadership to expand practice capabilities
• Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent, providing guidance and performance feedback to strengthen team capabilities

Requirements

• 8+ years of practical experience in cybersecurity consulting or project management
• BS in mathematics, natural sciences, information technology, business management, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience managing projects and decision processes within large organizations
• Working knowledge of at least two cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27000, C2M2, or Cloud Security Alliance CCM)
• Fluency in GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and ability to validate AI-generated responses
• Willingness to travel globally to work with clients and BCG teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI platform security and emerging technology risk
• Expertise in cloud, big data, or mobile security
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity regulatory environments and compliance requirements
