About the role
Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of strategic customer accounts with accountability for gross retention, net retention, and renewal readiness
- Manage ARR retention targets by building account plans and driving proactive engagement strategies
- Run structured at-risk account playbooks to mitigate churn and competitive displacement
- Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through transitions from appliance-based to containerized microservices architectures
- Help customers develop roadmaps for data security across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Drive adoption of Protegrity AI Team Edition for securing GenAI pipelines, RAG, and agentic workflows
- Serve as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams regarding roadmap priorities
- Conduct regular QBRs and architecture reviews to quantify risk reduction and business value
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience in Customer Success, data analytics, or enterprise software
- 5+ years in a technical role such as consultant, solutions architect, or technical account manager
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL) or modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting
- Experience with Linux/Unix-based operating systems and Windows CLI environments
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
- Proven track record of managing multi-year, 7-figure enterprise renewals
- Ability to travel up to 30–40%
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with data protection, privacy, or security technologies (tokenization, encryption, DLP)
- Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI workloads (RAG, LLM guardrails, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
- Background in highly regulated verticals like Financial Services, Healthcare, or Insurance
- Knowledge of compliance regimes such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, or DORA
