About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of strategic customer accounts with accountability for gross retention, net retention, and renewal readiness
  • Manage ARR retention targets by building account plans and driving proactive engagement strategies
  • Run structured at-risk account playbooks to mitigate churn and competitive displacement
  • Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through transitions from appliance-based to containerized microservices architectures
  • Help customers develop roadmaps for data security across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Drive adoption of Protegrity AI Team Edition for securing GenAI pipelines, RAG, and agentic workflows
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams regarding roadmap priorities
  • Conduct regular QBRs and architecture reviews to quantify risk reduction and business value

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience in Customer Success, data analytics, or enterprise software
  • 5+ years in a technical role such as consultant, solutions architect, or technical account manager
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL) or modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting
  • Experience with Linux/Unix-based operating systems and Windows CLI environments
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
  • Proven track record of managing multi-year, 7-figure enterprise renewals
  • Ability to travel up to 30–40%
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with data protection, privacy, or security technologies (tokenization, encryption, DLP)
  • Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI workloads (RAG, LLM guardrails, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
  • Background in highly regulated verticals like Financial Services, Healthcare, or Insurance
  • Knowledge of compliance regimes such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, or DORA
