Principal Customer Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical ownership for customer design-in activities in power conversion and motor control applications.
• Support customers through the full lifecycle, including architecture definition, design, validation, and production.
• Provide troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization support for hardware, firmware, and control loops.
• Guide customers on power topologies such as AC-DC, DC-DC, inverters, SMPS, and PFC.
• Support motor control for BLDC, PMSM, and induction motors, including FOC and sensorless control tuning.
• Develop technical documentation, including application notes, schematics, and reference designs.
• Act as a technical bridge between customers in India and global R&D/product teams.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to influence early architecture decisions and support PoCs.

Requirements

• 7–12+ years of experience in power electronics, motor control, or applications engineering.
• Deep expertise in power supplies, converters, inverters, and high-voltage design.
• Strong knowledge of BLDC/PMSM motor control, FOC, and PWM strategies.
• Experience with MCU/MPU/ARM Cortex microcontrollers for real-time control.
• Proficiency with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, or LTspice.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and EMI/EMC analysis using oscilloscopes and power analyzers.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in power electronics or motor control.
• Experience with power semiconductor devices including MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN.
