Principal, Counsel

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to assess, predict, and manage legal risks in an international business environment
• Provide strategic legal counsel and guidance to sector management on general and specialized matters
• Negotiate, research, draft, and analyze complex agreements, contracts, and legal correspondence
• Advise on risk mitigation strategies, contract interpretation, and dispute resolution
• Ensure sector practices comply with global, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Collaborate with operational, subcontract, and supply chain leadership to manage contractual risks
• Conduct factual investigations and extensive legal research to develop and present legal strategies

Requirements

• Doctorate (JD) degree
• Active state law license
• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
• Extensive experience managing aircraft purchasing agreements and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) agreements

Preferred Qualifications

• Government contracts experience within the US DoD market (U.S. and international)
• Experience in aircraft purchasing
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
• Proven commitment to ethics and compliance in high-standard environments
